OVERVIEW

With a stored-pressure design, the AMEREX model 240 2.5 Gal. water extinguisher features all-metal valve construction and a polished stainless-steel cylinder. The AMEREX 240 has a UL rating of 2A, which is the highest class of any water extinguisher on the market. Ideal for hospital usage, water extinguishers meet the NFPA 10 5.5.7.1 guidelines stating that only water extinguishers shall be installed where pool chemicals containing chlorine or bromine are stored. This extinguisher comes with a 5-year warranty. It utilizes the cooling, soaking, and penetrating effect of a 45-55-foot stream of water. The 55-second discharge time makes it very effective for operators of any skill level for use on Class A fires.
